| Under my Skin is a touring exhibition by Asialink that celebrates the artistic journey of 5 established and distinguished contemporary Australian artists - Emil Goh, David Griggs, Pat Hoffie, Megan Keating and Louise Paramor. The exhibition assembles for the first time through the 17-year Asialink Arts Residency Programme, the recent works of the artists produced and realised during their overseas residencies. Each artist reveals a deeper understanding of the world they were immersed in, where their works critique and test new cultural contexts, unravelling new, insightful and enriching perspectives. These transform what is significant to them into alternative, still personal realities through their residency experiences. The exhibition is supported by the Australian High Commission and presented by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore following its staging in Manila in mid-2008. |
