| Diploma in Art (Teachng) Cohort 4 presents IN TRANSIT at Sculpture Square, an exhibition of paintings, Drawings, photos, video and installation works that explore the psyche of these budding artists in the continuum of their journeys to great accomplishments. This exhibition combines the works of 17 artists and their captured moments in this artistic transition. IN TRANSIT explores the everyday beauty and shared experiences that the artists bring to life in their creations. |

| This exhibition will showcase works by 39 graduating fine art students from the Diploma, Bachelor (Hons) Degree and Masters programmes. The exhibition's theme "Necessary Extravagance" is a statement exemplifying the determination and spirited attitude of our graduating artists towards the ambivalent mind-set of the society to the arts. About 80 pieces of works ranging from painting, sculpture, photograph & video installation will be featured in NAFA Galleries 1& 2 (Diploma) and the Lim Hak Tai Gallery (BA/MA). |

| The Degree Graduation Show 2009 is themed on the paradoxical belief that things will Last. In an age of change, we embarked on a journey of self¬-exploration, confronting boundaries, challenging established notions and seeking answers. Yet, are there absolute answers? |

| In Lasts I everything we know will change, 36 students' works will be featured, underlining the fact that change is inevitable and ‘lasts' is a delusional concept. |
| |
| The ephemeral is not to be dreaded from, but to be regarded and celebrated. In this show, we wish our audience to celebrate with us, our metamorphosis that would hopefully question, change and maybe, create impression that will, last. |
