Mdm Fang Yuan, Principal (School of Young Talents) was presented with the COMPASS Meritorious Award at the 11th Composers & Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) Awards Presentation Ceremony on 21 May 2006 at the Raffles City Convention Centre.
An annual event organised to give out accolades to professional songwriters and composers for their outstanding work, the awards are part of COMPASS’ multi-pronged commitment in engaging both young musicians and consumers.
Mdm Fang was honoured for her efforts in establishing the Gifted Young Pianists Course at NAFA, and for her contributions in shaping the local music scene through music education.
