What Careers Await You?
Administrator for Music School, Agent for Performers, Composer, Conductor, Concert Manager, Music Arranger, Music Director, Performer, Project Coordinator, Producer, Reviewer, Sound Engineer, Teacher

Over 200 diploma and degree students are supported by a distinguished international faculty, all of whom are music college graduates and experts in their own f elds. In addition to weekly public performances in the Lee Foundation Theatre, our student soloists, ensembles and orchestras can be regularly heard in performance throughout Singapore.

Musically talented school leavers follow a specially planned pathway by joining a part-time Access Course to prepare for audition onto our full-time Diploma course and on to the BA (Hons) course (subject to the student making satisfactory progress).

Frequent visits are made by leading international artists to give masterclasses, workshops, lectures and specialist support. Our strong links with professional arts organisations within Singapore and developing relationships with renowned music conservatoires overseas enable us to maintain high international music standards.

For all music courses, students may study one of the following as their Principal Study:
Chinese Orchestral Instruments
Classical Guitar
Composition
Composition with Music Technology
Organ
Piano
Vocal Studies
Western Orchestral Instruments - String, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Harp

Access Course
The Access Course runs from January each year and provides one semester of study for young musicians coming from secondary school to prepare for full time study in music whether at NAFA or elsewhere. It is designed especially for those who have participated fully in the secondary school co-curricular music programme such as Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Choir and Ensembles, but may be lacking in formal qualifications. A full-time version of this course which includes additional modules in English language is available for overseas students.
