Notes :
Bridging studies in Research Methodologies will be available for students who do not have this requirement.

Applicants with prior learning or prior experiential learning will be considered individually by the Universities’ APL/APEL panel (a student seeking credit within the structure of the pathway may claim accreditation for prior learning (APL) and/or prior experiential learning (APEL) which is equivalent to that arising from the relevant modules of study). The APL/APEL Panel will look at each applicant individually to assess whether the applicant has acquired the necessary skills and knowledge deemed appropriate to be granted credit where applicable on the Pathway. APL/APEL guidelines are set out in the Combined Modular Scheme Document.

Exceptionally, the Admissions Panel may admit an applicant whose qualifications do not conform to the above requirements. For BA (Hons) Music and BA (Hons) Theatre Arts, written acceptance will be required from the University of Wales prior to final acceptance into the programme.

Postgraduate Pathways
A good honours bachelor degree at a minimum 2:1 level of award or equivalent in an art and design discipline(s) or a closely related subject OR
An appropriate professional/industrial experience may also be considered for a lower level qualification to the above PLUS
A successful interview where practicable PLUS
A portfolio of appropriately creative and original work

Notes :
Successful candidates will also need to demonstrate the potential to engage with the course aims by putting forward an initial proposal of studio development - a personal study proposal that identifies how the existing studio practice is defined and positioned in relation to conceptual, methodological and material aspects of making. The proposal will also clearly identify the potential development and direction of the existing studio practice in relation to production, presentation and mediation within a defined professional environment. No application will be considered without a project proposal.

Members of the pathway team, which includes a proposed personal tutor, will interview those selected for interview. The interview process will clearly identify an agreement on resource issues in relation to the submitted proposal by the potential student. The agreement will be documented and added to each potential student’s studio development proposal.

BA and MA Graduates can expect the following salary range :
BA Graduates S$2,000 to S$4,000
MA Graduates S$3,000 to S$6,000
