At the Department of Fashion Studies (DFS), established in 1986, we pride ourselves as one of Singapore’s premiere Fashion Schools. Our main objective is to discover, develop and nurture budding design talents, combining a strong curriculum, in design and merchandising for opportunities worldwide. |

Over the past 20 years, DFS has experienced a dramatic metamorphosis. From just a department in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts established in 1938, we’ve transformed into a full, comprehensive school, and equipped with the latest state-of-the art equipment, to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, in our ever-changing global marketplace. |

Apart from the intensive theoretical studies and practical workshops, students are ensured a high level of commitment from our lecturers, many of whom are industry-trained or still practicing in the fashion industry. This cross pollination of ideas and creative thinking between student and lecturer sets our graduates apart from their peers of other institutions. |
