Call none of us lucky before we die.

The war is over. The Greeks are victorious. Troy is in ruins.

Only Troy’s women are left - their husbands, fathers and sons are dead. They wait to be divided up. To become the slaves of their enemies. War booty.

The women wait, homeless, loveless. They wait for their fates to be decided.

This play was first performed in 415 BC, during the Peloponnesian War and remains a powerful exploration of how war impacts on the lives of women and children.
