The NAFA Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble take you on a journey through the history of wind music, showcasing both adaptations of existing repertoire for the wind instruments, as well as compositions scored specifically for them. Altogether, they span more than 300 years from Giovanni Gabrieli’s Canzone e Sonate to John McCabe’s Symphony for Ten Wind Instruments with six contrasting movements.
Tonight’s concert is directed by our Head of Winds, Joost Flach, as well as composer-conductor and alumni Terrence Wong.
