Kah Wei has just graduated. Kah Wei is about to realise that being a teenager with new roles and new expectations is not easy. When Kah Wei’s ideals and reality do not match, she wishes to return to her childhood of goldfish, lanterns and comics.

Written by Haresh Sharma, Lanterns Never Go Out explores the apprehensions and anxieties of the rapidly developing Singapore of the late 80s and early 90s. Performed by an ensemble cast, join the graduating students of the BA (Hons) in Theatre Arts as they question the dos and don’ts, the should and shouldn’t and the whys and hows.

Does your lantern ever go out?
