A collection of 8 glow-in-the-dark outfits designed by Year 3 Diploma in Fashion Design students are displayed in "Illuminate", a designed environment simulating an enclosed rave party. The exhibition is lit using UV lights to illuminate the Peranakan-inspired prints, patterns, motifs and fabrics. The fun, avant-garde and quirky designs provide a theatrical effect with the support of sound and special lighting.
The exhibition set is designed by part-time 3D Design lecturer Tung Ching Yew of the award-winning firm Spirit Of Design Analogy.
