Under the direction of Maestro Lim Yau, the NAFA Orchestra presents an evening of diverse masterpieces at the Victoria Concert Hall.
Be captivated by the resplendence of Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite (1945), derived from the composer's hugely successful ballet that established his reputation and career. Mezzo-soprano Jessica Chen, Head of Vocal Studies at the NAFA School of Music, is the soloist for Siete canciones populares españolas by Manuel de Falla. The orchestra will perform Luciano Berio’s orchestration of the songs as accompaniment. The concert opens with selections from Georges Bizet's widely-acclaimed Carmen.
