Western Art (Certificate)*

Introduction

This course provides fundamental training in Western Painting media. We adopt a systematic approach based on our sequential training. In order to help applicants understand art concepts in multi-chromatic compositional studies, they are encouraged to take up all the short courses. Students will start with drawing to grasp the concepts of line, shape, value and texture in monochromatic compositional studies. Painting with watercolour will provide the training in basic colour theory. Students will be equipped with these foundation skills to prepare themselves for the oil painting short courses.
