Biography

David is someone who has a great enthusiasm for ceramics, crafts, drawings, exterior architecture, illustration, paintings, photography, product design, retail design/merchandising, street art and hand-drawn typography.

After working in the creative industry for 15 years, David decided it was time to invest in his long-awaited design education and he ventured to re-learn what he knew was lacking in the local design education. He eventually graduated with a Master’s Degree in Design Communication from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia in 2000.

David has a wealth of international experience in the advertising and design industry, having worked in Hong Kong, Australia, Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman for companies such as Advertising Concept & Design, Asian AdGroup, Blitz Advertising, Fortune Advertising, Grey Advertising, Burson Marsteller and The Works Design Consultancy. During his career as a Designer and Art Director, he has won numerous awards in advertising and design competitions.

He has since devoted his passion to full-time teaching and his teaching and research interests include Advertising Design, Communication Design and Conceptual Illustration.
