| Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) was founded in 1938 with an inaugural batch of 14 Fine Art students. NAFA has since been widely recognised as Singapore’s pre-eminent tertiary institution for artistic studies. |

| Between 1999 and 2009, 11 of NAFA alumni were awarded Cultural Medallions, the prestigious national accolade for artistic achievements conferred by the President of the Republic of Singapore. In addition, 10 of our promising alumni are winners of the Young Artist Award. |

| In 2005, it moved into 3 purposed-built campuses along Bencoolen Street and in the same year, NAFA received the People Developer Certification in recognition of its relentless effort to upgrade its staff. |

| NAFA collaborates with five universities from United Kingdom, United States and Singapore offering Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree programmes. Through these collaborations, NAFA aims to provide an education par excellence that is student-oriented with professional tutoring by the Academy’s team of experienced practitioners from the industry. The degree programmes in NAFA are aimed at promoting independent learning, originality and creativity. |

The University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, UK was founded in the 1840s and has been a full-fledged university since 1992. It has strong links with the industry and the various academic programmes that are tailored to the imminent needs of the contemporary world. The BA programmes are equipped with extensive learning resources and facilities to facilitate undergraduate studies. Faculty staff consists of internationally accomplished artists, art theorists and designers. |

Tutors from Huddersfield University will oversee dissertations and projects during the 2-week UK residential study trip of the BA students from NAFA. The different perspective offered by the overseas tutors will enable students to conceptualise their work in a wider international context. |

In 1966, the College of Technology received its Royal Charter and became Loughborough University of Technology.
