Tuition Grant Scheme for Full-Time Diploma Courses

The Singapore Government, through the Ministry of Education (MOE) automatically provides tuition grant to subsidise the fees of Singaporean students. However, students who are graduates from the local polytechnics (SP, NP, NYP, TP or RP) or universities (NUS, NTU or SMU) or LaSalle-SIA are no longer entitled to the tuition grant and will have to pay a higher tuition fee for their study at the Academy.

With effect from 25 June 2001, Singapore Permanent Residents and international students are given the chance to sign the Tuition Grant Deed (TGD) with MOE to enjoy paying a lower tuition fee. Upon graduation, these students are bonded to work in Singapore for 3 years.

The Academy will use the entrance test / audition / interview results to select students who are eligible to sign the TGD. Eligible students who do not wish to sign the TGD or students who are not selected for the TGD must pay full fees for the full duration of their course at the Academy.

CPF Education Scheme for Full-Time Diploma Courses
(For Singapore Citizens and PR)

Students can use their own or their parent's CPF savings to pay for their tuition fee. The withdrawal limit for education is up to 40% of the accumulated Ordinary Account savings, or the remaining balance in the Ordinary Account after setting aside amounts reserved for housing or other schemes (if any), whichever is the lower, and subject to the amount of tuition fee payable.

However, students who are not on tuition grant (ie paying full fees) are NOT allowed to use their CPF savings to pay for their tuition fee.

Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA)
(For Singapore Citizens)

The PSEA scheme helps parents save for their children's post-secondary education by maintaining a Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) for each eligible child. This is part of the Government's efforts to encourage every Singaporean to complete his post-secondary education. It also underscores the Government's commitment to support families in investing in the future education of their children, and to prepare them for the economy of the future. PSEA is not a bank account. It is administered by the Ministry of Education and is opened automatically for all eligible Singaporeans.

Singaporean student can use his own or his siblings' PSEA funds to pay for the approved fees and charges at NAFA. To check your PSEA, you may contact:
