NAC Management Scholarship

The NAC Management Scholarship aims to groom outstanding individuals who are passionate about and committed to the development of the arts and culture in Singapore. Scholarship recipients will join NAC upon graduation to further their knowledge and gain the professional skills and experience for developing and implementing policies that nurture the arts and make it an integral part of life in Singapore.

Criteria: Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

Possess GCE "A" level, Diploma, International Baccalaureate or equivalent certificate

Demonstration of passion for the arts, leadership qualities and potential

Excellent academic results

Strong track record of co-curricular activities, and/or achievements and involvement in the arts in Singapore
Course of Study: Scholarship recipients will receive support for a Bachelor degree in any discipline except medicine, dentistry and pharmacy on a full-time basis at recognised universities or arts institutions in Singapore or overseas.
Scholarship coverage: Up to four years of full tuition and compulsory fees

Monthly maintenance allowance (including book allowance)

Opportunities for local or overseas internship, and sponsorship for student exchange programmes

Hostel Fees
Bond: Local scholarship recipients will serve a 4-year bond with NAC
Application period: 06 January - 15 March 2012

NAC Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate)

Overview
The NAC Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate) aims to nurture outstanding individuals who wish to pursue a career as an arts practitioner or professional, and have the potential to lead in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, or technical arts design and production in Singapore.

While the NAC Arts Scholarship supports a wide range of arts and arts-related courses, the following fields of study have been identified as priority, given the needs and opportunities in our cultural sector:
- Arts practice with a focus in community arts, arts education, or a traditional art form.
- Visual arts curating
- Literary arts publishing, editing and creative writing
- Technical arts design and production

Criteria: Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents

Possess GCE “A” level, Diploma, International Baccalaureate or equivalent certificate

Potential contribution of the applicant’s area of studies to the development of the arts and cultural sector in Singapore

Talent (creative potential), and leadership qualities

Strong track record of co-curricular activities, and/or achievements and involvement in the arts in Singapore

Good academic record
Course of Study: Scholarship recipients will receive support for a Bachelor degree in the fields of performing arts, visual arts*, literary arts, or technical arts design and production at recognised universities or arts institutions in Singapore or overseas on a full-time basis.

*For applicants pursuing design or media courses, you may wish to consider other Creative Industries Scholarships offered by DesignSingapore Council and Media Development Authority.
Scholarship coverage: The scholarship will cover tuition and compulsory fees up to $10,000 per year, subject to a maximum of $40,000.
Bond: Scholarship recipients will fulfil a 2-year service commitment in Singapore’s arts and cultural sector over a period of 5 years upon graduation.

DesignSingapore Scholarship 2012

Overview
The DesignSingapore Scholarship aims to groom budding design talents who have the creativity, drive and passion for design that will help develop Singapore into Asia's leading hub for design excellence.

It is open to students and industry professionals who are planning to pursue a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate design-related degree in a reputable local or overseas institution.

Criteria: Singapore citizen or permanent resident

Completed National Service (for male applicants)

Prior acceptance into a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course (in an appropriate field) in a reputable local or overseas institution
Course of Study: The design-related degree must be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a reputable local or overseas institution. The areas of study that will be considered are:
- Architecture
- Design Management
- Fashion Design
- Industrial Design
- Interior Design
- Landscape Design
- Multimedia Design
- Visual Communications
- Urban Design
Scholarship coverage: Covers tuition fees up to S$10,000 per year and will be capped at S$20,000 for the entire Scholarship
Commitment: Once you have accepted the Scholarship, you will become a DesignSingapore Associate and will be required to contribute to DesignSingapore Council's projects.
- Upon graduation, no service commitment is required
- Your Associateship will expire one year upon your graduation from the degree course

Enhanced MOE Bursary Scheme for Full-Time Diploma Students (AY2011/2012)

During the recent announcements made in Singapore Budget 2011 on the revised financial assistance schemes for Singapore citizen students pursuing post-secondary education, the Government have increased the disbursement of Diploma Bursaries to ensure that no students are deterred by the cost of post-secondary education due to their financial circumstances.

Criteria: Full-time diploma students in AY 2011/2012

Students must be on MOE Tuition Grant

Gross monthly household per capita income of S$1,700 and below (Gross monthly household Per Capita Income is computed based on the total gross income of immediate and non-immediate family members over the total number of immediate and non-immediate family members. Please refer to application form for more details.)

Students who are not in receipt of other Scholarships/ Merit awards/ Bursaries in the same academic year

Students who are not in receipt of the MOE Bursary or CDC/CCC Bursary in the same academic year
Citizenship: Singapore citizens only
Grant Quantum:

≤ S$1,200 S$1,350
Between S$1,201 to S$1,700 S$450

CDC/CCC - Arts Institution Bursary 2011 (For Diploma students)

The CDC/CCC-Arts Institution Bursary is a bursary scheme for needy students in the arts institutions. The bursary scheme is introduced to keep tertiary education within reach of all able students. It is co-funded by the Government, Community Development Council (CDC) and Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC).

Criteria: Full Diploma students;

Singapore citizens;

Gross monthly household per capita income of $850 and below (refer to application form for calculation of household per capita income);

Not in receipt of other scholarship/bursary or study grant in the current academic year.

CDC/CCC - Arts Institution Bursary 2011 (For Degree students)

Singapore Buddhist Lodge Education Foundation Bursary Award

The Singapore Buddhist Lodge Education Foundation Bursary Award aims to provide assistance to students from low- income families, enabling them to continue with their education, in hope that they may become useful citizens of the community.

Criteria: Existing Singaporean / Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) students pursuing full time diploma/ degree studies in NAFA, regardless of race, religion or gender.

Applicants should come from low-income families, must be good in conduct and academic results.

Have not received any scholarships, merit awards or bursaries for the same academic year, either from NAFA or an external organisation.
Citizenship: Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR)
Grant Quantum: S$1,000
