Diploma in Art (Teaching) Graduation Show 2009: In Transit
On the 6th of June 2006, seventeen individuals with vastly different personalities, backgrounds and ideals embarked on a new journey of learning and self discovery. They faced uncertainty, ambiguity, and at times insanity, but the satisfaction of discovering the wonders and possibilities of art flamed their desire to press on, and they did.
Three years have now passed and from every failure, every success that they have had, they have grown. This exhibition is a testimony to that time spent in transit, in earnest study and in growth. In this exhibition we present to you the unique art works of these seventeen individuals whose artistic voices range from global issues to more personal ones. It is our hope that this exhibition will not only leave you with a lasting impression, but with one that will inspire you to take to your own journey with patience and passion.
While this exhibition serves as a milestone to these travellers, their journey does not end here. Soon a new path will open to them and they will once again transit from being students to nurturing educators of the arts. They will then encounter new travellers and greater challenges, but with the confidence and skills they have acquired along the way, their passion will no doubt persevere.
